Central boys, West girls win
Central Davidson’s boys won a four-team meet at Salisbury on Thursday. Central won with a score of 227, followed by West Davidson, 181, Lexington, 139, and Salisbury, 128.
Winners for Central were Logan Hammond (50 free), Lucas Rhodes (500 free), Charlie Killebrew, Zeb Walser, Adam Amende and Hammond (200 free relay), and Amende, Hammond, Connor Sturgill and Rhodes (400 free relay).
Winners for West were Garrett Spake, Job Spake, Andrew Sink and Lee Payne (200 medley relay).
For Lexington, Cole Riggan won the 200 IM and 100 back, and Adam Wetherell won the 100 free and 100 breast.
West Davidson’s girls won the meet with a score of 234, followed by Central, 217, Lexington, 183, and Salisbury, 125.
Winners for West were Taylor Blankenship, Taylor Koonts, Grace Baird and Katherine Fletcher (200 medley relay), Baird (200 IM, 100 free), Savannah Newsome (50 free), Fletcher (500 free), Koonts (100 back), and the 400 free relay team of Newsome, Fletcher, Koonts and Baird.
Westchester boys win one
Westchester Country Day School’s boys won one meet and lost two at Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point on Thursday.
Calvary Baptist topped the Wildcats 63-31, but Westchester rebounded to beat Summit School 60-34. Wesleyan then downed Westchester 54-40.
Westchester’s girls followed suit with one win and a pair of losses. Wesleyan won 73-19 and Calvary won 59-34, but Westchester defeated Summit School 45-36.
