Salisbury slams Jackets

Lexington suffered a 45-28 loss in a Central Carolina Conference match at home Friday to Salisbury.

Dutrey Rose (152), Darel Martin Jr. (160), K’Bron Horton (182) and Zach Mauldin (220) won by pin for the Jackets, and Danford Carpenter (145) won by major decision.

The Jackets, who dipped to 1-2 in the CCC, 5-8 overall, will wrestle in the Jennings Withers Tournament at Thomasville on Saturday.

North wins two of three

North Davidson went 2-1 in a four-team match at East Rowan on Friday, defeating Northwest Cabarrus 57-18 and Carson 45-21 before losing to East Rowan 48-31.

Jan Pabon (145), Jacob Lester (152), Bryson Starling (220) and Alex Cave (heavyweight) all went undefeated for the Black Knights. Spencer Ader (106), Dylan Robertson (120), Nick Jarvis (126) and Taylor Richardson (160) only lost once for North.

North visits Reynolds on Thursday.
