Spartans pin Jackets


Central Davidson defeated Lexington 58-21 in Central Carolina Conference action at Central on Thursday.


Winners for Central were Nathan Propst (106), Tyler Everette (113), Tyler Rogers (120), Brandon Hogan (126), Richie Acord (132), Josh Moore (145), Desmond Mabe (170), Alex Gallaher (195), Jake Smith (220) and heavyweight Jacob Comer.


Winners for Lexington were Danford Carpenter (138), Dutrey Rose (152), Darel Martin Jr. (160) and K’Bron Horton (182).


Central, now 2-2 in the CCC, 13-12 overall, visits West Davidson on Wednesday. Lexington, which dipped to 1-3, 6-12, will wrestle Saturday at Thomasville in the J.C. Young Invitational.

Bulldogs roll on


Thomasville maintained its perch atop the Central Carolina Conference standings with a 50-19 win over Salisbury at Thomasville on Thursday.


Winners for the Bulldogs were Hiygee Martin (113), Tay Dupree (120), Brett Hokenson (132), Kendrick Ragin (138), Luke Williams (145), Aaron Reeves (152), Gabe Brockett (160), Ryan Broadie (195), Sharaun Mouzone (220) and heavyweight Jordan Hagens.


The Bulldogs improved to 4-0 in the CCC, 23-9 overall. They will host the J.C. Young Invitational on Saturday.

Eagles topple West


West Davidson dropped a 47-32 Central Carolina Conference match in Thomasville on Thursday.


Sammie Antonelli (113), Frank Phillips (126), Shane Hemmings (152), T.J. Plyer (195), and Tyler Hudson (220) all won by pin for the Dragons. Justin Smtih (145) won by major decision for the Dragons, who slipped to 0-4 in the CCC, 6-15 overall. The Dragons host Central Davidson on Wednesday.

For East, Dakota Marsh (106) won by forfeit; Gage Love (120), Robbie White (132), Tyler Rhodes (138), Bryce Bolen (160), Asa Bohannon (182) and heavyweight Josh White all won by pin, and Logan Ware (170) won by tech fall.


East improved to 2-2 in the CCC, and visits Salisbury on Wednesday.


In the junior varsity match, A.J. Palmer won for East and Justin Robertson won for West.



Knights rout Reynolds


North Davidson cruised to a 68-11 Central Piedmont Conference victory over Reynolds in Winston-Salem on Thursday.


For North, Dylan Robertson (120), Christopher Jarvis (126), Hunter Clark (132), Jan Pabon (145), Jacob Lester (152), Cody Tysinger (170), and Bryson Starling (220) all won by pin. Spencer Ader (106), Gabe White (113), and Jeremy Hill (138) won by forfeit, Taylor Richardson (160) won by tech fall, and heavyweight Alex Cave (heavyweight) won by decision.


The Black Knights, now 2-2 in the CPC, 10-14 overall, visit Glenn for the Phillip Reed/Twin City Rumble on Saturday.
