Jackets finish fifth
Lexington finished fifth in a tournament at Thomasville on Saturday, going 2-2 on the day.

The Jackets beat Southern Guilford 48-18 and Mount Tabor 39-34, but lost to Andrews 45-24 and Asheboro 46-33.

Danford Carpenter (138), Darel Martin Jr. (160) and K’Bron Horton (182) each went 4-0 for the Jackets. Heavyweight M.J. McRae went 3-0. Allen Palomares (106) finished 3-1.

The Jackets, now 8-15, host Thomasville on Wednesday for senior night.

North places fifth
North Davidson finished fifth at the Phillip Reed/Twin City Rumble at Glenn on Saturday.

Heavyweight Alex Cave won his weight class, and Cody Tysinger (170) finished second. Tysinger picked up his 100th career win during the tournament.

The Black Knights host Reagan on Thursday for senior night.

East JVs are eighth
East Davidson’s junior varsity squad finished eighth at the Panther JV Classic at Ledford on Saturday.

Guiliano Postek, Tyler Rhodes and Bryce Bolen each won their weight classes, and Caleb Williams, Chase Robison and Brett Fuller placed second.
