Lexington Middle tops North boys

The Lexington Middle School boys defeated North Davidson 50-37 in the semifinals of the Davidson/Davie County tournament at North Davidson Middle on Thursday.

Caleb Moore paced the Knights with 16 points, and Kennedy McKoy added 14.

Daniel Reed-Bennett poured in 18 points for the Jackets, who will face Ellis winner in the championship game on Monday at the Lexington Senior High School gym. Desmond Crosby added 12 points for the Yellow Jackets and Will Lancaster had 11.
North ended its season at 13-3.

Sheets girls win big

The Sheets Memorial Christian School girls cruised to a 49-25 victory over White Plains at Sheets on Thursday.

Laura Blinson led all scorers with 16 points for the Eagles, who improved to 8-8. Blinson also pulled down 11 rebounds. Rachel McLean chipped in 10 points and Sarah Gainey eight.

Sheets hosts Blue Ridge on Friday for Homecoming.

Sheets JV gold rolls

The Sheets Memorial Christian School junior varsity boys gold team routed White Plains 43-10 Thursday at Sheets.

Tyrese Hearst pumped in 16 points for the Eagles, who improved to 10-9. The Eagles welcome Blue Ridge on Friday.
