Sheets JV gold boys stay hot


The Sheets Memorial Christian School junior varsity boys gold defeated Blue Ridge 41-21 Friday at Sheets.


Tyrese Hearst paced the Eagles with 14 points, and Michael Marshall added 10.


The Eagles, now 11-9, visit Oak Level on Tuesday.


North boys topple Titans


North Davidson’s boys erupted in the fourth quarter and secured a 55-45 Central Piedmont Conference victory at West Forsyth on Friday.


Charles Brunson led all scorers with 14 points for the Knights, who moved to 2-6 in the league, 8-13 overall. Chase Mitchell added 11 points.


Ledford boys pick up win


Daniel Lawson poured in 28 points and Nathan Parks had 25 as Ledford beat Southwestern Randolph 75-59 in Mid-Piedmont Conference action Friday in Asheboro.


The Panthers (6-15 overall, 2-6 MPC) visit North Forsyth on Tuesday.


Ledford girls fall


Ledford’s girls suffered their first loss in Mid-Piedmont Conference play, losing 59-52 to visiting Southwestern Randolph on Friday.


Courtney Callicutt paced the Panthers with 22 points, and Mackenzie Cranford added 12 as Ledford dipped to 7-1 in the MPC, 18-4 overall.


East JV girls turn back Central


The East Davidson junior varsity girls defeated Central Davidson 64-54 in Thomasville on Friday behind 17 points from Miranda Cumpton.


Savannah Wagoner added 13 points and Andrea Grant 10 for the Eagles.


Sheets boys win big


The Sheets Memorial Christian School boys romped White Plains 63-45 Thursday at Sheets.


Tanner Wilhoit pumped in 23 points for the Eagles, who improved to 4-13. Kent Johansen chipped in seven for Sheets.


Jackets to play for title


Lexington Middle School’s boys will face Ellis in the Davidson/Davie County Middle School championship game at Lexington Senior High School on Monday.


Lexington downed North Davidson 50-37 in the semifinals Thursday at North Middle behind 18 points from Daniel Reid-Bennett.

Desmond Crosby chipped in 12 points and Will Lancaster 11 for the Jackets.


Blue Ridge girls down Sheets


Sheets Memorial Christian School’s girls dropped a 49-35 decision to visiting Blue Ridge on Friday.


Natalie Wilson led the Eagles with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Faith Sallee tallied nine points, and Laura Blinson added six points and 14 rebounds.


Sheets visits Faith Christian in Ramseur on Thursday.
