Sheets topples Blue Ridge

The Sheets Memorial Christian School boys downed Blue Ridge 62-45 at home Friday.

Tanner Wilhoit poured in 31 points for the Eagles, who improved to 5-15. Kent Johansen chipped in 16 for Sheets.

In the Eagles’ win the night before over White Plains, Stephen Egelnick pumped in a career-high 17 points as the Eagles turned back White Plains 63-45. His name was not mentioned in the previous article about that game.

The Eagles visit Oak Level on Tuesday.

Lexington Middle wins title

The Lexington Middle School boys pulled out a tough 37-34 victory over Ellis in the finals of the Davidson-Davie conference tournament at Lexington Senior High School on Monday.

Daniel Reid-Bennett led the Jackets with 13 points, and Desmond Crosby added 10. Jeremony Charles scored seven for Lexington.
