Ledford wins again

Undefeated Ledford, already having secured the Mid-Piedmont Conference championship, wrapped up the regular season with a 9-0 win over Asheboro on Thursday in Wallburg.

Taylor Freeman, Elonah Jones, Elizabeth Stroup, Erin Crotts, Emma Caroline Russell and Logan Allen won in singles. The doubles teams of Stroup/Allen, Russell/Audrey Hunt and Marie Creakman/Ena Pryskalo all won.

Ledford, 19-0 overall and 10-0 in the MPC, will participate in the conference individual tournament next week.

West romps Eagles

West Davidson cruised to a 9-0 Central Carolina Conference victory over East Davidson on Thursday.

Singles winners for the Dragons were Rachel Tam, Madyson Prevette, Rachel Trexler, Olivia Varner, Callie Herman and Amber Oyola. Doubles winners for West were Tam/Ashlee Cruz, Varner/Prevette, and Herman/Oyola.

West moved to 5-3 in the CCC, 12-6 overall.

Spartans down Lexington

Central Davidson defeated Lexington 6-3 in a Central Carolina Conference match Thursday.

In singles for the Spartans, Tori Rhodes beat Emerson Hayes; Ashley Rhodes beat Maggie Lancaster; Kacy Surratt defeated Olivia Brown; and Amie Sink beat Sydney Parker.

In singles for Lexington, Annabell Wolfe beat Abigail Penninger, and Ashley Phillips defeated Sarah Sturdivant.

In doubles for Central, Tori Rhodes/Surratt beat Hayes/Wolfe; and Sink/Sturdivant beat Casados/Strenk.

In doubles for Lexington, Lancaster/Brown defeated Ashley Rhodes/Penninger
