Dragons nip East

West Davidson defeated East Davidson 2-0 in a Central Carolina Conference match in Thomasville on Thursday.

T.J. Eller broke open a scoreless tie four minutes into the second half, with an assist from Jaime Lopez. Sammy Antonelli scored the second goal five minutes later, off a throw from Eller.

Adam Schofield pitched a shutout with six saves in goal, and Cole Barnhardt, Sonny Rickard and David Monk had solid games.

West, now 4-1 in the CCC, 8-2-3 overall, visits Salisbury at 7 p.m. Monday.

In the JV match, West won 2-0 with a goal apiece from Nathan Little and Alek Davis. Trey Baxley had seven saves in goal, to help the Dragons move to 8-1.

On Wednesday, West defeated Central 3-1 with two goals from Little and one from Alex Van Der Linden. Alek Davis, Richard Thomas and Van Der Linden had one assist apiece.

Spartans rout Bulldogs

Central Davidson romped to a 7-2 victory at Thomasville in a Central Carolina Conference match Thursday.

Charlie Killebrew led the way for the Spartans with three goals and three assists. Dylan Collier added two goals and one assist, Collin Rountree had a goal and an assist, Jose Rodriguez-Castillo scored one goal, and Steven Baker had one assist.

Killebrew’s final assist gave him 50 for his career, breaking the school record of 49.

Central improved to 3-2 in the CCC, 6-5-2 overall.

North falls to Reagan

North Davidson dropped a 2-1 Central Piedmont Conference decision to Reagan in Welcome on Thursday.

Carter Skotthy scored the lone goal for the Knights, with an assist from Marshall Hodge.

North, now 0-3 in the CPC, 10-4-1 overall, hosts Davie on Monday.
