Westchester nips Caldwell

Westchester Country Day School rallied for a 14-25, 25-21, 15-25, 26-24, 15-13 Triad Athletic Conference victory over Caldwell Academy in High Point on Thursday.

Julie Tugwell paced the Wildcats with 24 kills, Oby Nwamu had 18 kills, and Kayla Watson added 16 kills and seven blocks.

Panthers fall

Ledford dropped a 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-9 victory over Southwestern Randolph on Thursday.

Chloe Barnes had 13 kills and two blocks for the Panthers, who fell to 6-2 in the Mid-Piedmont Conference, 13-6 overall. Haylee Leonard added 13 kills, eight service points and six blocks, and Alyssa Doby had 31 assists.

Ledford’s JVs beat Southwestern 25-11, 23-25, 25-23. Allie fischer had six service points and 14 kills, and Lily Kernodle had 10 service points and six kills.

Ledford hosts Wheatmore on Monday.

Dragons stop Thomasville

West Davidson picked up a 25-16, 25-14, 25-16 Central Carolina Conference win at Thomasville on Thursday.

Madison Hunt had five aces and six digs for the Dragons, and Kristen Adair had 14 good serves, three aces and nine digs.

Thomasville won the JV match 24-26, 25-19, 25-13.
