Guardians win big

The Davidson County Home Educators defeated First Christian Academy 25-9, 25-13, 25-18 at home on Monday.

Hannah Hincher had 12 service points for the Guardians, including nine aces, and 18 assists. Brooklyn Brinkley added five service points, with three aces, and five assists.

Warriors topple Ledford

Ledford dropped a 25-16, 25-16, 25-17 nonconference match to Wheatmore in Wallburg on Monday.

Chloe Barnes had seven service points and seven kills for the Panthers. Haylee Leonard added nine kills and four blocks, and Alyssa Doby added 14 assists.

Ledford dipped to 13-7 with the loss.

In the JV match, Ledford won 20-25, 25-18, 25-21 behind 10 service points from Amanda Myers, who added four kills. Haleigh Dalton had 12 assists, and Gabbi Plumez had nine service points.

The Panthers host North Forsyth on Tuesday, with the JV set to begin at 5 p.m.

Dragons down Thomasville

West Davidson cruised to a 25-14, 25-14, 25-21 Central Carolina Conference victory over Thomasville in Tyro on Monday.

Maggie Hughes had nine kills, three aces, six digs and two blocks to lead the Dragons.

Thomasville won the JV match 25-12, 25-22.

West hosts East Davidson on Wednesday.
