Spartans rout Bulldogs

Charlie Killebrew scored two goals and handed out three assists to lead Central Davidson to a 6-1 Central Carolina Conference victory over Thomasville at Spartan Community Stadium on Monday.

Dylan Collier added a goal and two assists, and Trevor Nanney, Steven Baker and Anderson Norris had one goal each. Jose Rodriguez-Castillo handed out one assist as the Spartans improved to 4-2 in the CCC, 7-5-2 overall. Andrew Curry had seven saves in goal.

Central welcomes Salisbury on Wednesday, with the JV set to begin at 6 p.m.

In Monday’s JV game, Thomasville downed Central 2-1. Styrling Tangusso scored the Spartans’ lone goal on a penalty kick. Jacob Younts had five saves.

Wildcats fall hard

South Davidson dropped a 7-0 decision in a Yadkin Valley Conference match with East Montgomery on Monday.
