Thomasville Middle prevails

Lexington Middle School dropped a tough 25-21, 22-25, 15-11 decision at Thomasville Middle School on Tuesday.

Lily Thornhill led the Jackets with 12 service points, including three aces, and three kills.

Santerra Suggs added seven aces.

Ellis Middle downed the Jackets in the opening match in two sets.

Lexington visits North Davie Middle on Thursday.

Ledford romps Vikings

Ledford cruised to an easy 25-7, 25-10, 25-8 Mid-Piedmont Conference victory over North Forsyth on Tuesday.

Haylee Leonard was dominant for the Panthers, with 12 service points, including seven aces, and eight kills. Sarah Weavil had 14 points, with five aces, and 15 assists, and Chloe Barnes turned in a solid all-around game with eight service points, seven aces, and six kills.

In the JV match, Ledford rolled to a 25-5, 25-21 victory. Amanda Myers had five service points, with four aces, Alaina Williams added seven service points, with three aces, and three kills, and Olivia Faria had five kills.

The Panthers visit Asheboro on Thursday.

East Davidson’s junior varsity squad defeated West Davidson 25-6, 25-21 in a match in Tyro on Tuesday.
