West, Lexington JVs tie

West Davidson and Lexington’s junior varsity squads played to a 0-0 tie in Tyro on Wednesday.

Alek Davis, Daniel Benitez and Tanner Stephens turned in solid games for the Dragons, who moved to 9-1-1. West travels to Thomasville on Monday.

Panthers calm Storm

Ledford jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the half and cruised to a 4-1 Mid-Piedmont Conference victory over Southern Guilford in Wallburg on Wednesday.

Nick Gonzalez had two goals for the Panthers, and Reuben Hayes and Daniel Burton added one goal each. Dylan Vandiver, Gonzalez and Josh Lee had one assist apiece as the Panthers moved to 10-4-2 overall. Ledford welcomes Asheboro on Thursday.

Gray Stone nips South

Gray Stone Day slipped past South Davidson 1-0 in a Yadkin Valley Conference game Wednesday.

The Wildcats visit North Moore at 5 p.m. Friday.

East blanks Bulldogs

Salvador Pacena scored both goals as East Davidson blanked winless Thomasville 2-0 in Central Carolina Conference action Wednesday in Thomasville.

Victor Finlay and Ryan McIntire each had an assist and goalkeeper Adam Davis was credited with 17 saves.

East, 4-8-3 overall and 2-4 in the CCC, hosts Central Davidson on Monday.

Thomasville, 0-12 overall and 0-6 in the CCC, is at home on Monday against West Davidson.
