West girls win Misenheimer Invitational

West Davidson’s girls won the Misenheimer Invitational on Friday at Pfeiffer University. The Dragons finished with 281.5 points, followed A.L. Brown (267), North Forsyth (207), Carson (206.5) and Mooresville (165).

Winning for the West girls were Rachel Hamrick (100 fly), Taylor Blankenship (back), the 200 medley relay team (Blankenship, Katie Moore, Hamrick, Laura Payne) and the 400 free relay team (Blankenship, Hamrick, Payne and Abby Carlton).

The West boys had no first-place finishers but tied for second with North Forsyth.

Central romps West Stokes

Central Davidson romped to victory over West Stokes, with the boys winning 126-43 and the girks 125-44 on Tuesday at the Stokes Family YMCA in King.

The Spartans won every event in the meet.

Winning for the Central boys were Greyson Myers (200 free), Connor Sturgill (200 IM, 500 free), Lucas Rhodes (50 free, 100 free in school-record time), Kendall Bertaux (100 fly, 100 back), Jonathan Hench (100 breast), the 200 medley relay team (Myers, Hench, Sturgill, Rhodes), the 200 free relay team (Myers, Bertaux, Sturgill, Rhodes) and the 400 free relay team (Bertaux, Hench, Harrison Everhart, Connor Gallimore).

Winning for the Central girls were Kresen Leonard (200 free), Mamie Gates (200 IM, 100 breast), Korbin Eller (50 free, 500 free), Anderson Conrad (100 fly), Carolina Belk (100 back), Lexi Bodford (100 free), the 200 medley relay team (Belk, Gates, Conrad, Eller), the 200 free relay team (Bodford, Eller, Gates, Erin Laws) and the 400 free relay team (Bodford, Leonard, Conrad, Laws).
