Page cancels tourney

Page has cancelled the tournament it had originally scheduled for this Saturday. Lexington was one of the teams originally scheduled to participate in the tournament.

Central is eighth

Central Davidson finished eighth at the Piedmont Invitational over the weekend.

Jake Comer won the heavyweight division, Tyler Everette (106) was second, and Jacob Owen (170) was third.

The Spartans visit North Davidson at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Jackets win three

Lexington went 3-6 at the Mount Tabor Duals over the weekend in Winston-Salem.

Danford Carpenter was 9-0 in the tournament, and Zack Mauldin went 8-1 — only losing to a defending state champion along the way.

The Jackets head to North Surry on Wednesday.

East finishes 10th

East Davidson placed 10th at the Bobby Abernathy Tournament at Piedmont High School over the weekend.

Jose Navarro (138) finished third, and Logan Ware (182) and Chris Coble (113) were both 3-2.

East hosts Reynolds on Wednesday.

North places 11th

North Davidson finished 11th at the Joe Via Classic at South Stokes on Saturday.

Nick Wimmer (heavyweight) won his division, and Josh Jordan (170) and Cody Malcolm (195) placed fourth in the junior varsity division.

Ledford finished seventh in the tournament. Drew Chappell (145) won his division, Chase Lewis (126) and Ben Rickard (220) finished second, and Austin DeBerry (132) was third.
