South JV girls win

Danielle Hunt scored 30 points as South Davidson beat Trinity 66-20 in the girls’ Bank of the Carolinas/Randolph-Asheboro YMCA JV Holiday Classic on Thursday at Southwestern Randolph Middle School.

Candice Cook had 14 points for the Wildcats, who face Chatham Central at 3:30 p.m. Friday at SWRMS.

Thomasville JV boys, girls fall

Thomasville fell 44-30 to Trinity in the boys’ Bank of the Carolinas/Randolph-Asheboro YMCA JV Holiday Classic in Asheboro.

Quidell Hill led Thomasville with 12 points and Josh Scott had 10.

The Thomasville girls fell 67-24 to Providence Grove. Lisa Burgess led the Bulldogs with 14 points.

Central girls fall to Andrews

Central Davidson fell 39-34 to High Point Andrews in the girls’ Bank of the Carolinas/Randolph-Asheboro YMCA JV Holiday Classic on Thursday in Asheboro.

Rebekah Cope led Central with 12 points.
