Ledford JV girls fall in finals

The Ledford junior varsity girls only scored six points in the second half and dropped a tough 37-30 decision to Eastern Alamance in the Red Division championship game of the Bank of the Carolinas JV Holiday Classic on Saturday.



Jordan Teer paced the Panthers with 13 points, and Alyssa Doby added seven. Doby and Megan Hayworth were selected to the all-tournament team for the Panthers, who fell to 10-3.

Ledford hosts Southern Guilford on Jan. 11.

South Davidson JV girls are fourth

The South Davidson junior varsity girls finished fourth in their division after falling to North Moore 57-41 Saturday.

Kasie Tague led the way for South with 15 points, and Danielle Hunt and Candice Cook chipped in with eight points apiece. Cook was named to the all-tournament team.
