Sheets JV girls fall to Heat

The Sheets Memorial Christian School junior varsity girls dropped a 39-11 decision to the Greensboro Heat on Thursday.

Jaylin McGee paced the Eagles with seven points.

In the boys’ game, Sheets raced to a 14-4 lead and never looked back en route to a 53-25 win.

Brody McCullough and Adam Bruff had 10 points apiece, and Zeb Leonard led the way with 12 points.

Sheets, now 13-2, visits Tabernacle on Christian on Monday.

Sheets’ JV blue team beat Oak Level 44-32, with 13 points from Dylan Bosch and eight from Jacob Sink.

Oak Level downs Sheets boys

Oak Level Christian School romped to a 92-51 victory over the Sheets Memorial Christian School boys Thursday.

Stephen Egelnick led the way for the Eagles with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Tanner McGee and Brett Johnson had 14 points each.

Ledford JV girls roll by Asheboro

The Ledford junior varsity girls cruised to a 52-13 win at Asheboro on Thursday.

Ashlyn Noah and Jordan Teer paced the Panthers with 14 points each, and Sandra Anne Kernodle chipped in eight.

Emiliee Hughes had seven rebounds for Ledford, and Alyssa Doby handed out seven assists.

Oak Grove splits

Oak Grove Middle School’s boys defeated North Davie Middle 58-47 Thursday.

Chris Ballard poured in 23 points for the Grizzlies. Juy Smith added 11 points and Ian O’Toold scored 10.

In the girls’ game, Oak Grove lost 47-27. Cequan Person had eight points and Emma O’Toole seven.

Oak Grove hosts Ellis Middle on Monday.

Tyro falls

The Tyro Middle School boys lost 49-26 at South Davie Middle on Thursday.

Hunter Hallman led the way for the Dragons with 12 points, and Nick Lamberth added seven.

Tyro hosts Central Davidson on Monday.
