Lexington Middle falls

Thomasville Middle School’s boys defeated Lexington 58-46 in the semifinals of the conference tournament Wednesday.

James Moore poured in 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the Jackets, who finished the season 12-4.

South girls win again

The South Davidson girls moved to 13-0 in the Yadkin Valley Conference with a 71-53 victory at North Moore on Wednesday.

Holly Wall paced the Wildcats with 20 rebounds and six rebounds, Larsen Sigmon had 18 points, five assists and nine steals; and Madi Beeson added 10 points.

South improved to 13-0 in the YVC, 16-3 overall. The Wildcats host Chatham Central on Friday.

The South boys dropped an 88-40 decision to North Moore. Trent Shore led the Wildcats with 11 points.

South fell to 2-11 in the YVC, 2-16 overall.
