Dragons blank Ledford

Sophomore Justin Freeman earned an impressive win as West Davidson downed Ledford 3-0 in the season opener for both teams at Ledford on Friday.

The Panthers only recorded two hits, and committed three errors. West made its hits count, as the Dragons only got six hits themselves. Freeman led the Dragons at the plate with a pair of hits. Duke Boger took the tough-luck loss for the Panthers. West visits South Davidson on Thursday. Ledford visits Central Davidson at 5 p.m. Monday.
