Bulldogs overcome North Surry

The third-seeded Thomasville Lady Bulldogs overcame second-seeded North Surry Greyhounds on Friday 56-43 in the third round of the state playoffs with turnovers costing the Hounds the victory.
Lady Bulldog Christina Coleman was the game's high-scorer with 16 points.
Erin March was the Hounds' high scorer with 13 points. Madison Hawks had eight points and Jordan Badgett seven.
Joslyn Spires and Timber Tate each scored 11 for the Bulldogs.
“We could not overcome, we had too many turnovers," said North Surry coach Shane Slate.
Slate said the Greyhounds registered 30 turnovers total in the game, a fact he was not happy with.
The Bulldogs forced the tempo early, leading 17-8 at the end of the first quarter. The teams went into the half with the Bulldogs ahead 27-20. In the second half, the Bulldogs scored 29 points and the Hounds only scored 16 total.
