West blanks Lexington
West Davidson blanked Lexington 15-0 in a three-inning Central Carolina Conference game on Friday.
Lauren Wilson pitched a perfect game, striking out five. Casey Coble was 2-for-2 with a home run to lead the Dragon offense.
West, 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the CCC, visits Thomasville on Tuesday.
East shuts out Thomasville
East Davidson shut out Thomasville 15-0 in a four-inning Central Carolina Conference game on Friday in Thomasville.
Haley Ray was the winning pitcher, striking out eight. Andrea Grant went 3-for-4, including a three-run homer and a triple. Morgan Gallimore was 2-for-3 with a double, Brooklyn Hopkins had an inside-the-park home run, Selena Metcalf was 2-for-3 and Morgan Key was 2-for-2.
East, 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the CCC, hosts Central Davidson at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Central rallies past Montour
Central Davidson scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally for a 3-1 win over Montour (Pa.) on Friday at Central.
Kylie Ward pitched a six-hitter for the Spartans.
Erin Laws was 2-for-4 with an RBI and stolen base while Morgan Roach was 2-for-3. Ward had a sacrifice fly.
Central (4-2) hosts East Rowan at 2 p.m. Saturday and travels to East Davidson at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
