East JVs down Wheatmore

East Davidson’s junior varsity defeated Wheatmore 6-0 in Thomasville on Wednesday.



Michael Grice tossed a complete-game one-hitter for the Eagles.



Gage Love was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a stolen base, and Avery Deweese drove in two runs.



Games rescheduled

The game between Central Davidson and East Davidson scheduled for Friday has been moved to 4:30 p.m. at East Davidson.

North Davidson will play at Davie County on Thursday.



North majors win

The North Davidson Middle School majors squad nipped Ledford 7-6 Wednesday at Welcome School.



Tied 6-6 in the bottom of the sixth, Carson Simpson drew a bases-loaded walk to plate what turned out to be the winning run.



Peyton Bennett threw two innings of relief to get the win. Austin Beck was 2-for-2 with a run scored, Joe Butts drove in two runs and Jed Bryant tripled.



North Middle offers clinic

The North Davidson Middle School baseball teams are hosting a clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 20 at Arcadia Fields 1 and 2. In case of rain, the clinic will move to the gym. Cost of the clinic, which is for players in second through sixth grades, is $20. The cost includes lunch and door prizes. Players can register the day of the clinic from 8:30 to 9 a.m.

North JVs win big

North Davidson’s junior varsity squad beat Watauga 10-1 Wednesday.



Landon Michael went 2-for-2 with an RBI, Quinn White was 2-for-3 and drove in a run, Dylan Holmes had two hits and drove in three runs, and Michael Johnson had two hits and an RBI.



On Wednesday, North beat Davie 13-0 in five innings.



Holmes had two hits and an RBI, Cole Beeker had two hits and three RBIs, and Corey Joyce and Devin Lumley added two hits apiece.



North improved to 12-1.
