Eagles trip Salisbury

Jessica Ferguson pulled off a hat trick to lift East Davidson to a 3-2 victory at Salisbury in a Central Carolina Conference match Wednesday.



Lori Morgan assisted on two goals, and goal keeper Taylor Bell picked up an assist on a long kick from her own goal. Bell added eight saves for East, which improved to 3-1 in the CCC, 4-4-1 overall.



The Eagles visit Thomasville on Thursday.



Jackets dump Thomasville

Lexington defeated Thomasville 4-1 in a Central Carolina Conference match at Philpott Stadium on Wednesday.



Katie DeZego had three goals and one assist for the Jackets, who moved to 1-4 in the CCC, 6-8-1 overall. Hannah Jackson, Maria Velazco and K.B. Worley had one assist each, and Angela Priester and Katarina Strenk had good games on defense.

Lexington visits High Point Andrews on Thursday.
