Lexington Middle splits games

Lexington Middle School’s boys beat Central Davidson Middle School 36-26 on Monday. Cam Peoples led Lexington with 11 points.

Lexington is now 7-3.

The LMS girls fell to Central 27-21. Sophie Peoples led Lexington with nine points.

LMS will host North Davie on Tuesday on “Orange Out” night. Spectators wearing orange apparel will be admitted for $1.

Oak Grove Middle splits pair

Oak Grove Middle School split a pair of games on Monday with Ellis Middle School. The girls won 44-41 in double overtime and the boys fell 38-26.

Oak Grove visits South Davidson Middle School on Thursday.

Central JVs fall to Southern Guilford

Southern Guilford scored the last 16 points of the game to overcome Central Davidson 61-49 on Friday in a Mid-Piedmont Conference game in Greensboro.

The game was tied at 41-41 entering the final period, and the Spartans took a 49-45 lead. But the Storm took control over the last five minutes of the contest.

Devin Kiser led Central Davidson with 13 points. Andy Killebrew had 11, Will Biesecker 10 and Brody Swing nine.

The Spartans, now 9-5 overall, 2-2 in the MPC, will host Southwestern Randolph on Friday.
